Vicky's Update:

Hi Everybody

Well it’s been a couple of months since I updated. What a great Xmas Eve and New Year we had playing at The Star and The Gore Court. Brilliant nights.

Had some really excellent gigs this year. New venues, The Lido, Margate was really good, everyone danced from the moment we played till we finished was excellent. The Swan and Harlequin in Faversham, another fantastic gig, really nice, friendly pub, with a lovely dog too! The Euphoria, Dover also a really nice venue, everyone was really friendly. Plus all the usual venues all really good nights.

So, what’s on my mind at the moment. Well the weather for one thing! What’s with all this coldness, its freezing and I don't like it! No more please, its supposed to be Spring for goodness sake!

What else is going on! Ooooo, V Festival this year, we have signed up for the Road to V, which is where they choose 14 bands to go onto T4 to play and the viewers vote for what 2 bands should play at V, never know! Can't win it if your not in it! I am going to V anyway, just means I might be in the VIP area instead coolio!

My last thought is a piece of advice, be careful when picking up conkers with their spiky shells on, cos they might just be baby hedgehogs! Ahhhhh

Bye for now

About Vicky:

Vicky is affectionately better known as Dizzy, for obvious reasons! Being the only female in Tallon, and the only person who can actually read music, Vicky adds the technology side to the Band. She provides Tallon with versatile playing skills on keyboard and also gives the Band their up to date bass sound. She is the fun-loving, confident, sex kitten of Tallon.

Email Vicky at band@tallononline.co.uk and use “Vicky” as the Subject.

Vicky Says:

Write something about myself, well I’m not sure that I can compete with the humour of the other three! But I am just a girlie after all!

I told a friend that I was doing this and he described me in five words, friendly, fun, laidback, smutty, talented (thanks, you know who you are!)

Well serious stuff first I suppose. I have played piano and clarinet since I was 12, playing in various bands and groups. Then when I joined Tallon I started playing keyboards and just adapted my piano skills.

I occasionally have a go at writing a song or two. I have lots of ideas but none of them ever seem good enough. My influences in music are strong female singers like Sheryl Crow and Mel C right through to Bryan Adams. I have also been inspired to write a Dance track as I love Dance music too.

Likes - Dancing, Music (obviously), raining when the sun is shining (not that it happens that often, I remember that my best friend at school had a patio that used to fill up with water when it rained and we used to go paddling. I’ll leave that to your imagination!), Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Faliraki (had an excellent holiday there), anything pink or blue, Shopping (apart from food shopping), Camping, Horror films (nothing like having a quiet night in on your own with a good horror film and a bottle of wine!), Kids (I have two nieces and a nephew who are wonderful), Virgin Vie makeup – If I think of anymore I’ll add them next time I update this.

Dislikes – Strong Curries, Opera (can’t understand what they say, and it's always far too high pitched), Swearing in Songs (think it sounds illiterate), Masks (don’t like it when you can’t see a persons expression), Sitting in traffic (doesn’t everyone hate this?!) – I’ll keep this updated as I think of them.

Jokes – I love jokes, the rest of the band members despair at my jokes. I like silly jokes like:-

Magic tractor went down the road and turned into a field!!

Man walked into a pub with a giraffe, the giraffe downed a pint then fell over. As the man walked out the barmaid said “You can’t leave that lying there!” The man said “It’s not a lion it’s a giraffe!”

Sandwich walks into a pub. Barman says "Sorry, we don't serve food."

Horse walks into a pub. Barman says "Why the long face?"
